With the Japanese Land Rover club
An Introduction to Japan Land Rover Club
Thank you for taking an interest in our club, Japan Land Rover Club (JLRC).
JLRC was established in 1982 as a place for gathering of Land Rover enthusiasts, who were an extreme minority in Japan in those days. Mr. and Mrs. Kunio Aoki, the current President of JLRC, were the main promoters. JLRC is the pioneer of Land Rover clubs in Japan.
JLRC’s main activities are biannual Land Rover Meetings (LRM), some local events and news letters, which are published in Japanese several times a year.
An entrance fee and membership fee, which are only a little more than postage, are merely the minimum duty of JLRC members. Only who can enjoy themselves running JLRC, setting up meetings or supporting JLRC actively become the real members of JLRC.
Large membership is no concern of JLRC. JLRC is the place for gathering of matured enthusiasts to the last and is aiming to touch the essence and to enrich the substance in a quiet way. Yes, just like the real old Land Rover.
JLRC is not a circle of friends. The raison d’etre of JLRC is to combine accumulated experience and a great knowledge of all the members who have been enthusiastic about cross country vehicles and to discover higher pleasure beyond that.
